THE AUTHOR Pepe Gallardo José Francisco Gallardo Porras (Pepe, to his friends), was born on November 13th, 1963, in the Andalusian city of Malaga, Spain.   Although his beginnings in model painting started with enamel, as time went on, he started to use acrylic paint, in the last decade he has become one of the best known representatives of the "Spanish School". A "four wheeler" painter, he undertakes any kind of size and method when painting historic figures. "I have covered many kilometers, and I have participated in many contests around the World. Now in these last few years I have worked permanently with the sponsors of the national and international contests, teaching workshops and seminars, and working as a judge and teaching painting classes in my city's local store.   Presently, I officially work for Elite Miniaturas which is established in my native city, Malaga. I have also painted many assignments for Andrea Miniaturas, Pegaso Models, Art Girona, Masterclass, etc. I collaborated and continue to do so with magazines such as Euromodelismo, Figurines, Figure International, Historical Miniatures, Military Modelling, etc. I write articles on my work, reports on contests, and portray my best work on their covers ( SEE covers). I have worked very hard, and painted many figure. I have been very demanding with myself and I have done research in the artistic and historic field. The best part of this experience has been gaining new friends and people who even today are still on my side. This is the reason I decided to create this website. I want to keep working and sharing with my friends this hobby of ours. And, as you can see, I have created a page for the works of my friends from all over the world.   Come and see..." .
